TENDER INVITATION NOTICE

Kipsigis Highlands Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited is desirous of constructing the Proposed Tea Factory, a flexible CTC and Orthodox factory, within its Chemamul Estate, comprising but not limited to the following works:

Interested Contractors who are registered in relevant trades and categories, (proof of registration required) may obtain Tender Documents from the General Manager/CEO, Kipsigis Highlands Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited offices, during normal working hours upon payments of non-refundable tender fee of Kshs. 5000/= per tender.

Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below, as a minimum, supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation:

• Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last five years
• The Bid Bond must be in form of Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank or approved insurance company
• Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified types of works
• Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line
• Litigation History of the company (both court and arbitration cases)
• Tax compliance Certificate

Tenders in plain sealed envelopes, marked tender number on the right hand side corner and bearing no indication of the tenderer should be addressed to:

And placed in the Tender Box or sent by post so as to reach the above address not later than 15^th May,2017 at 2.00pm and opening will be done immediately.

Submitted bids will be opened in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend .Late bids will be returned unopened.

Prices quoted must remain valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days from the opening date of the tender.

The Bid security, which must be from an established bank, or approved insurance company, shall be valid for one hundred fifty (150) days from tender opening date.

Kipsigis Highlands Multi-Purpose Society Limited reserves the right to reject any tender and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
